I am a printmaker based in Newcastle upon Tyne. I have been printmaking for the last 20 years, though with a fallow period in the middle when I was bringing up children.
I have a studio at home, where I do most of my work and print some woodcuts by hand. These tend to be the ones in which the wood is warped or is not even enough to print using a press. I am a member of Northern Print, and use the studio for printing editions which are suitable for printing on a press. Most of my smaller work (around 12” square and smaller) is printed on an Albion Press.

- Umber Printmakers invite... Exhibition of print at Newcastle Arts Centre, Westgate Road. For this show, Umber printmakers have been joined by four printmakers from Newcastle, Northumberland and Cumbria, Theresa Easton, Karen Davies, Jo Westgate and Marion Kuit, in an exhibition entitled 'Natural Forms' which looks at the natural world, encompassing landscape, creatures, and a disturbing look through a microscope. The wide range of styles of the eight artists are expressed through an equally diverse use of printing techniques, from monoprinting, through to woodcut, etching and drypoint to screenprinting.
